Choose this RLS-profile kit for RLS fittings. Original ZoomLock: confirm the part number first. NOT for ZoomLock MAX.
Before you buy: original ZoomLock is NOT ZoomLock MAX
Identify the refrigerant PRESS FITTING brand and product series—not just the copper tube brand. Read the fitting and packaging markings, then check the part number and tube outside diameter. The word “ZoomLock” alone is not enough to select a jaw profile.
| Fitting brand / series on your job | iCrimp model to consider | Check before ordering |
|---|---|---|
| RLS / Rapid Locking System | IWS-0625RCF — RLS profile | 8 jaw sizes: 1/4, 5/16, 3/8, 1/2, 5/8, 3/4, 7/8 and 1 in. Not the ZoomLock MAX profile. |
| Original / legacy ZoomLock (not MAX) | RLS-profile selection route: IWS-0625RCF, after part-number confirmation | Original RLS-made ZoomLock fittings belong to the RLS family. Check the RLS cross-reference and send the exact fitting part number for confirmation. Do not select IWS-0628ZMCF simply because “ZoomLock” appears on the box. |
| Parker / Sporlan ZoomLock MAX | IWS-0628ZMCF — ZM profile | 7 jaw sizes: 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 5/8, 3/4, 7/8 and 1-1/8 in. Not the original ZoomLock / RLS profile. |
| Conex Bänninger >B< MaxiPro | IWS-0628ZMCF — check the exact series | Listed in the IWISS ZM-model application specification. Confirm the regional fitting series, size and permitted tooling; do not assume every Conex product uses this profile. |
| ZoomLock PUSH | Neither press-tool kit | A push-to-connect system, not a press-jaw application. |
| Unmarked fitting / “ZoomLock” without a clear generation | Confirm before buying | Email clear fitting and packaging photos, part number, tube OD and country to sales@iwiss.com. |
Why the names cause confusion: RLS originally supplied fittings marketed as ZoomLock through Parker/Sporlan. RLS later sold under its own brand and announced the end of supply to Parker in August 2020. ZoomLock MAX is a distinct system; a shared historical brand name does not establish interchangeable jaws.
Use the manufacturer's current tooling requirements for the exact fitting. The model guidance above describes IWISS's intended application, not RLS, Parker or Conex Bänninger certification. Brand, series, jaw profile and size must all match.

IWS-0625RCF: an 8-size refrigerant press tool kit with RLS-profile jaws. Built around a detachable jaw configuration, this iCrimp kit gives HVAC/R service technicians a wrench-driven option for specified refrigerant press connections. Its size selection includes 5/16 in. and 1 in., helping you identify the correct kit before arriving at the job.
Check the fitting system before ordering. IWISS specifies this model for RLS double-arc refrigerant copper press fittings. Confirm the exact fitting series, tube specification, jaw size and permitted tool combination with the fitting supplier and iCrimp. This description does not claim third-party manufacturer approval, certification or warranty coverage.
Eight RLS-profile sizes for ACR service work
- Included jaw sizes: 1/4 in., 5/16 in., 3/8 in., 1/2 in., 5/8 in., 3/4 in., 7/8 in., 1 in.
- Two drive options: operate with the supplied wrench or a compatible impact wrench using the specified drive connection. Impact wrench, battery and charger are not included.
- LED completion indication: helps identify the tool's completion condition. It is not a refrigerant leak detector and does not replace joint inspection or system testing.
- Portable case: keeps the tool, jaws and drive accessories together for transport and storage.
- Wire-cut jaws with electrophoretic coating: jaw manufacturing and finish as specified by IWISS.

Where this tool fits your workflow
Consider this kit when servicing or assembling ACR lines that specify the RLS fitting system and an accepted matching tool/jaw combination. Relevant work may include air-conditioning service, heat-pump piping and refrigeration maintenance, within the selected system's permitted refrigerants and operating limits. Press connections can eliminate the brazing flame at the press joint; they do not eliminate tube preparation, refrigerant recovery or commissioning procedures.
For restricted-access work, check the full space needed to fit the jaws, operate the drive and release the completed joint. A compact head alone does not establish the minimum working clearance.
Choose by fitting system and actual tube outside diameter
ACR jaw sizes refer to the specified tube outside diameter. Do not select by a water-pipe nominal size alone: 1/2 in. nominal copper water pipe and 1/2 in. OD refrigerant tubing are different sizes. Original RLS-made ZoomLock fittings follow the RLS-family identification route above. Do not interchange that profile with ZoomLock MAX or water-system press fittings.
Installation planning: prepare, mark, press and check
- Confirm the complete system. Verify fitting series, refrigerant, tube material/temper/wall, OD and tool/jaw requirements. Isolate equipment and safely recover refrigerant before opening existing piping.
- Prepare a sound tube end. Cut square, deburr inside and outside, keep debris out and clean the sealing area as the fitting manufacturer directs. Do not press over damaged, oval or deeply scratched tubing.
- Inspect and mark. Check the fitting and seals, then mark the specified insertion depth. Seat the tube fully and retain a visible depth reference.
- Align the correct jaws. Position the matching profile at the prescribed location. Use the drive settings and completion/release sequence in the IWS-0625RCF instructions; do not choose a universal torque or speed setting.
- Inspect and commission. Check insertion, joint appearance and applicable gauge results. Perform the required pressure/leak tests and evacuation/decay checks before charging. Follow the equipment and fitting manufacturer's limits rather than a single generic pressure or vacuum target.
Professional refrigerant work requires appropriate training, PPE and the procedures applicable to the refrigerant, including flammability controls where relevant. Do not use oxygen to pressure-test refrigerant piping. This overview is a selection aid, not a replacement for the model-specific manual.
Questions before you buy
Does the GO gauge prove that a connection is leak-free?
No. It provides only the specified dimensional check. A joint can still have inadequate insertion, tube damage or a seal problem, so complete the required leak testing and commissioning.
Can I use any cordless impact wrench?
No universal compatibility is claimed. Confirm the specific drive tool, socket suitability and operating settings with iCrimp before use. Manual operation is available with the supplied wrench.
Can I use this for ProPress water piping or PEX?
No water-system or PEX compatibility is claimed for these refrigerant jaws. Choose a tool and jaw configuration intended for that separate connection system.
Is this an RLS-manufactured or RLS-approved tool?
This is an iCrimp tool, not an RLS-manufactured product. RLS-profile configuration describes IWISS's intended fitting application; external approval and fitting warranty eligibility must be verified separately.
Choose related refrigeration tools by connection method
Pressing and swaging are separate jobs. RLS and ZM press kits are alternative fitting-system choices, not interchangeable jaw sets. Expansion tools prepare a socket for the specified joining process, typically a brazed connection; do not expand tubing as a preparation step for a manufactured press fitting unless its instructions expressly require it.
