YQK-300 hydraulic crimping tool — 16–300 mm² nominal cable range. A hydraulic lug crimper for compatible power, welding and electrical cable terminals. The 16–300 mm² nominal range extends beyond the YQK-240 range while retaining a stated 70 kN crimping force; choose by tooling fit, not force alone.

Specifications and included tooling

  • Model: YQK-300.
  • Nominal crimping range: 16–300 mm².
  • Crimping force: 70 kN (approximately 15,737 lbf).
  • 11 pairs of die sets included.
  • Hardened steel construction and quick-release mechanism.

Hydraulic crimping tool with 11 pairs of die sets. Confirm the individual die sizes for your terminal before ordering.

Check cable, lug and die compatibility

Match conductor size and construction, lug material and barrel dimensions, and the terminal manufacturer's required crimp profile. A nominal mm² range alone does not establish compatibility. AWG and metric die markings are not interchangeable; do not select a die using only an approximate conversion. Confirm the supplied die sizes for your termination before ordering.

Would a manual battery cable lug crimping tool fit your job?

For cable sizes covered by a dedicated hand crimper, compare the exact dies, required crimp profile and handle clearance before choosing hydraulic tooling.

How to crimp cable lugs

  1. Disconnect and isolate the circuit. Cut the cable square and strip to the lug manufacturer's specified length without damaging strands.
  2. Select the specified matching die pair, secure it according to the tool instructions and fully insert the conductor into the lug.
  3. Support the cable, align the barrel and operate the tool according to its manual. Follow the lug manufacturer's crimp positions, sequence and number of crimps.
  4. Release pressure before removing the connection. Inspect the first sample and carry out the specified dimensional, pull-force or electrical checks before making a batch.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a universal wire crimper?
No. Cable-lug tooling should not be substituted for dedicated ferrule, insulated-terminal, Deutsch-contact or plumbing press tooling.

Does more hydraulic force mean a better connection?
No. The correct lug, conductor, die geometry and completed crimp process matter together. A higher force rating cannot correct incompatible tooling.

Can I select it for AWG battery cable?
Only after confirming the lug and die combination. For common AWG cable sizes, compare the dedicated manual models above.

Design standards & application compatibility

Check the exact model, connection type and applicable standard before ordering. A standard referenced in a product description is not, by itself, evidence of third-party certification. Ask us for model-specific documentation if your project requires it.

Design references are not third-party product certifications. Use the model specifications and the fitting or terminal manufacturer's instructions to confirm compatibility.

How manufacturing supports reliability

IWISS manufacturing capabilities include precision machining, heat treatment, assembly and quality inspection, with dimensional measurement and tensile-testing equipment. The inspection method and acceptance criteria depend on the tool and connection application.

Battery cable and lug matching

Select the cable, lug barrel and crimping die as a matched combination.

Before ordering

  • Check conductor gauge and construction alongside lug material and barrel dimensions.
  • Follow the connector's specified die, crimp positions and inspection procedure.
Are 4 AWG and 4/0 AWG the same?

No. 4/0 AWG is larger than 4 AWG. Read the exact size marking and do not treat slash-zero sizes as ordinary single-digit gauges.

What should I send for a fit check?

Send the product model, cable or pipe size, connector or fitting part number, and clear photos. Include the intended application so our team can help you identify the appropriate setup.
