Help choosing your copper tool

Can I use one tool for plumbing and HVAC fittings?

Do not assume interchangeability. Plumbing press fittings and refrigerant press systems can require different jaw profiles and tool approvals. Confirm the exact fitting system before purchase.

Are inch and metric sizes interchangeable?

Do not select by a simple unit conversion. Match the specified fitting size, pipe dimension standard and jaw profile shown for the tool.

Will the tool fit near a wall or in a corner?

Check clearance for both the head and the handle movement. The IWS-1632AF manual model is not intended for corner operation. Send a photo of your work area if you are unsure.

Does a tube expander make a finished press connection?

No. A tube expander forms a tube end; it does not press a fitting. Follow the jointing process and tube-material requirements for your system.
