Identify the connection
Record conductor material and construction, cable gauge, lug barrel dimensions and stud-hole size. The stud hole does not identify the wire size.

Choose the tool and package
Check the crimper range and profile. IWS-0840S includes a stripper; do not add a second stripper unless you need another station.

Prepare and inspect
Work with disconnected conductors. Follow the specified strip length and crimp sequence; inspect strands, conductor insertion and the completed crimp.

Finish the assembly
Use the specified insulation and strain relief, and complete the component supplier’s required inspection and testing before service.
