Plan a Deutsch Connector Repair

Identify the contact before selecting a tool. Connector family names alone do not establish tool compatibility.

  1. Identify the contact

    Record the connector family, exact contact part number, contact size, solid or stamped construction and wire range.

  2. Match the tooling

    Solid contacts need the specified indent tooling. Stamped contacts need matched open-barrel tooling. Check the individual tools included in KIT-DC01 or KIT-DC02.

  3. Plan the repair

    Include any required extraction tool, replacement contacts, seals and wire preparation tools. Keep reusable and replacement components separate.

  4. Check the finished connection

    Follow the manufacturer’s crimp, retention, seal and housing-assembly instructions. A tool does not by itself establish the finished assembly’s sealing rating.
