About this item
The IWISS IWE-428 combines an adjustable cable knife for round cables with a wire stripping function built into the housing. Remove outer sheathing from cables measuring Ø4–28 mm, then prepare individual solid or stranded conductors from 20–10 AWG (0.5–6 mm²) with the integrated stripper.
- For Ø4–28 mm Round Cables: Designed for stripping the outer sheath from common round installation cables, including compatible NYM and damp-room cables.
- Adjustable Cutting Depth: A housing-mounted adjustment screw provides continuous control over blade depth, helping match the cut to the cable sheath and reduce the risk of damaging inner conductors.
- Circular and Longitudinal Cuts: The self-rotating blade switches between cutting around the cable and cutting along its length.
- Integrated Wire Stripping: Strip insulation from standard solid and stranded conductors with cross-sectional areas of 0.5–6 mm² (20–10 AWG).
- Compact, Durable Construction: The ergonomic glass-fibre-reinforced polyamide body and knife-steel blades support controlled cable preparation. Overall length is 145 mm and tool weight is 61 g.

Choose the right size
The Ø4–28 mm range refers to the outside diameter of the complete round cable. The 0.5–6 mm² range refers to the cross-sectional area of an individual conductor for the integrated stripping function. Set the cutting depth to suit the sheath thickness and inspect the first prepared cable before continuing.
