  • Delphi Weather Pack Crimper: IWC-1424B Metri-Pack and Weather Pack crimp tool aids in the assembly process of the Metri-Pack 150 & 280 and Weather Pack connector lines. The crimpers are designed to crimp the terminals and seals found in the Metri-Pack and Weather Pack series.
  • Stamped Terminal Crimping Tool: Crimps a wide variety of open barrel contacts, including D-subminiature in small size wire ranges. Crimps conductor and insulation portion of contacts in separate cavities.
  • Two Step Crimping: Designed to crimp the core and insulation wings in a separate motion. Tool must be closed twice to complete termination.Has three wire crimping and two seal crimping positions. Thin profile allows access to hard to reach areas.
  • Suits for: Weather-Pack, Metri-Pack 150 Sealed, Metri-Pack 150 Unsealed, Metri-Pack 280 Sealed, Metri-Pack 280 Unsealed.
  • Applications: IWC-1424B allows the automotive DIYer to install weather-tight connectors with tools that were previously only available to the professionals. Replace damaged factory-installed connectors or add accessories while maintaining full factory wire harness integrity. A must have tool for making OEM wires and pigtails.

Weather Pack & Metri Pack Crimp Tool

Weather Pack Connectors are designed to be compatible with many vehicles on the road today. This includes automobiles that are part of big brands such as Ford and GM. Weather Pack Connectors are high performing environment wire connectors that are manufactured by Delphi/Packard. Weather Pack connectors are great for engine compartments because of their high performance and environmental design. The Weather Pack system can also be used in custom wire harnesses. Other common applications include automotive, marine, fleet, agricultural, and non-vehicle electrical applications.

To complete the Weatherpack system, you need housings, terminals, and seals. For installation and replacement of the Weatherpack connector system, IWISS offers crimp tools and removal tools for your convenience.

Connector and contact selection

Match the connector family, contact construction and conductor range. Solid contacts and stamped-and-formed contacts may require different crimp geometries even within a connector family.

Will a matching wire gauge guarantee compatibility?

No. Check contact size, barrel construction, insulation support and the crimp profile as well as wire gauge. Confirm the exact terminal part number when uncertain.

How can I confirm the right model before ordering?

Match the terminal, not just the wire gauge

Check the terminal part number, barrel construction, conductor size, insulation support and required crimp geometry. Solid contacts, stamped contacts, ferrules and cable lugs use different tooling. Gauge alone does not establish compatibility.
