AM-10 / EM-6B2 die sets — application and selection
Replacement crimping die options for the listed AM-10 and EM-6B2 machines. This is an accessory listing, not a complete powered crimping machine.
Changing tooling can extend the applications of a compatible crimping machine, but only where the die interface, terminal geometry and machine capability are all matched. Buy the die for a specific connection, not just a nominal wire size.
Specifications and configuration
| Listed machine applications | AM-10 and EM-6B2; confirm the exact die interface |
|---|---|
| Selection | Choose by die code, terminal construction and conductor range |
| Product supplied | Selected die option only; machine sold separately |
| Compatibility check | Mounting dimensions, profile, crimp height and terminal specification |
Before ordering: A die code is not a universal wire-size rating. Request the application chart for the selected code. Similar-looking dies or shared machine families do not establish compatibility with every model.
Choose the right configuration
Choose the exact model in the purchase selector. Product photographs may show different configurations; only the selected package is supplied.
Workstation setup and first-piece checks
- Send the selected die code, machine model and terminal drawing for a fit check.
- Isolate the machine's electrical or pneumatic supply before fitting tooling.
- Install and align the dies according to the machine instructions; do not modify a die to force a fit.
- Validate a sample connection against the terminal specification before production.
Use the current model-specific instructions. The guide above is a selection and workflow overview, not a substitute for the operating manual.
Maintenance and repeatability
Keep working surfaces clean and inspect tooling for wear, chips, misalignment or loose fasteners. Follow the model-specific lubrication and service instructions. Recheck the first piece after a die change, adjustment or maintenance; stop using damaged tooling. Keep a job record of the terminal, conductor, die and inspection results.
Does the maximum wire size apply to every terminal?
No. Usable capacity depends on conductor construction, terminal material and barrel dimensions, the selected die and the required crimp geometry. Match the complete combination.
How do I check crimp quality?
Use the terminal manufacturer's acceptance criteria. These may include visual checks, crimp height or other dimensions, and pull-force testing. A completed tool cycle alone does not prove electrical performance.
Is a machine included?
No. This listing is for the selected replacement die. Confirm the machine interface and terminal application before ordering.
What information should I send for a compatibility check?
Provide the machine model and selected option, terminal part number or drawing, conductor material and cross-section, insulation diameter, and intended workload. For powered models, include your air or electrical supply.

Wire cutting and stripping tools — match conductor size
For a fit check or the current instructions, contact our team with your exact configuration. Review shipping information and returns information before ordering.
Match the terminal, not just the wire gauge
Check the terminal part number, barrel construction, conductor size, insulation support and required crimp geometry. Solid contacts, stamped contacts, ferrules and cable lugs use different tooling. Gauge alone does not establish compatibility.

Preparation and inspection
Identify the terminal and wire; strip to the specified length; position in the matching tooling; complete the operating cycle; inspect and test the first sample before continuing.
Check this configuration before ordering
Send the selected model, component part number, dimensions and a clear application photo to sales@iwiss.com. For a kit, check the supplied-item list; tools or consumables in application images are not automatically included.
