Connector and contact selection
Match the connector family, contact construction and conductor range. Solid contacts and stamped-and-formed contacts may require different crimp geometries even within a connector family.
Frequently asked questions
Will a matching wire gauge guarantee compatibility?
No. Check contact size, barrel construction, insulation support and the crimp profile as well as wire gauge. Confirm the exact terminal part number when uncertain.
How can I confirm the right model before ordering?
Email sales@iwiss.com with the model, application, component size and a photo or part number. For delivery and returns, see our shipping information and returns policy.
Complete your wire-preparation setup
Optional companions for compatible insulated copper wire within this crimper's specified range. Check the selected terminal, insulation material and required strip length; skip tools already included in your kit.
- HS-D2 wire stripper — strips compatible 0.2–6 mm² conductors. Validate a sample to avoid damaged strands, especially on fine wire.
- ICP-206 cable cutter — for soft copper up to 3 AWG or aluminum up to 4 AWG. Not for steel, ACSR or hard-drawn copper. Cutter capacity does not establish terminal compatibility.
Cut cleanly, strip to the terminal specification, then crimp with the correct cavity. Ask us to check your wire and terminal combination.

Automotive contact selection
Identify the exact contact style and connector series used in the harness.
Before ordering
- Distinguish solid contacts from stamped-and-formed contacts; use the appropriate crimping method.
- Check contact size, wire gauge, insulation diameter and seal requirements separately.
Does a connector-family name guarantee compatibility?
No. Different contacts within a family may require different tooling. Provide the contact part number and wire details for a fit check.
What should I send for a fit check?
Send the product model, cable or pipe size, connector or fitting part number, and clear photos. Include the intended application so our team can help you identify the appropriate setup.
