Build repeatable 4-circuit harness connections
VTM-964 contains eight mating connector pairs (96 individual pieces), with 4-position gray housings, pins, sockets and secondary wedgelocks. Choose a fixed-position kit when your harness repeatedly needs the same circuit count.
Connector and contact kit
- 4-pin DT connector arrangement; eight mating pairs.
- Size 16 solid contacts for the listed 20–16 AWG conductor range.
- Nickel-plated copper-alloy contacts; listed references 0460-202-16141 (pin) and 0462-201-16141 (socket).
- Plugs, receptacles, contacts and wedgelocks are counted separately in the 96-piece total.
Choose by circuit layout
A four-position disconnect can group four specified conductors for a compatible accessory, lighting or equipment harness. The kit does not define a universal wiring arrangement; assign each cavity from the equipment wiring diagram.

Crimping tools: supplied separately
Use a solid-contact indent crimper matched to the contact and wire. IWD-1620 is a candidate for the listed Size 16 contacts and 20/18/16 AWG conductors. HD-2612D is another option when the exact contact and positioner setting are verified. Open-barrel stamped-contact tools are not interchangeable with these indent tools.

Family and keying: match the actual DT mating housing and cavity arrangement; DT, DTM and DTP are different systems.

Contact size versus wire gauge: Size 16 identifies the contact system. It does not mean 16 AWG is the only supported wire.

Sealing: wire insulation diameter, intact seals, seated contacts, wedgelocks and sealed unused cavities all matter. Contacts alone do not provide a waterproof assembly.

Circuit requirements: verify operating current, wire size, temperature and environmental requirements against the exact components. A connector-family rating is not a blanket rating for your finished harness.
Assembly: prepare, crimp, insert and lock
- Isolate circuit power and record cavity assignments before dismantling a harness. Match the housing family, keying, contact size, conductor gauge and wire-seal diameter. Cavity numbers identify positions, not AWG.
- Strip to the contact specification without cutting strands. Do not pre-tin the conductor.
- Use compatible solid-contact indent tooling. Set the positioner and selector for the exact contact and wire combination, then complete the crimp cycle. Inspect a trial termination against the contact acceptance criteria before assembling the harness.
- Insert each contact straight through the rear seal into its assigned cavity until retained. Give the wire a gentle retention check, then install the correctly oriented secondary wedgelock. Seal unused cavities with the specified plugs.
- Mate the housings until latched, add suitable harness support, and verify pinout and electrical operation before returning the equipment to service. A continuity check alone does not qualify crimp strength.

No. This listing is for Size 16 solid contacts. Choose tooling by contact construction as well as wire gauge.
Are these 96 complete connectors?
No. The package provides eight mating connector pairs; 96 is the individual component count.
