IWS-100DT: solid pin and socket refills

50 pins plus 50 sockets: 100 individual Size 16 solid contacts. This is a refill pack, not 50 complete multi-pin connectors. Housings, wedgelocks, cavity plugs and tools are separate.

Confirm the supplied wire range before ordering

The previous listing mixed a 20–16 AWG title with a 14 AWG description and a 0462-209-16141 socket reference. Confirm the actual supplied contact part number and barrel range with us before selecting wire or tooling. A green stripe or “Size 16” marking alone is not enough to resolve the shipment specification.

For a confirmed 20–16 AWG Size 16 solid contact, consider IWD-1620. For a confirmed 14 AWG Size 16 solid contact, consider IWD-16, verifying the contact/tool setup. These are conditional choices, not two interchangeable tools. Do not use a stamped-contact open-barrel crimper.

Selection checks that prevent the wrong purchase

Size 16 is a contact-system designation, not 16 AWG. The contact barrel must match your conductor, while the rear seal must match the insulation outside diameter. DT, DTM and DTP housings are not interchangeable just because their names are similar.

These assortments suit compatible vehicle accessory, motorcycle, off-road equipment and workshop harness projects. Confirm circuit loading, temperature, mounting and environmental requirements for the exact components. Do not treat a family rating as certification of this kit or a completed harness. Piece counts include individual contacts, housings, locks and accessories; they do not equal finished connector pairs.

How to assemble a DT connector

  1. Disconnect power and record the circuit pinout. Match DT housing keying, cavity count, pin/socket type and wire-seal diameter.
  2. Strip the wire to the contact specification without cutting strands. Do not pre-tin a conductor intended for this crimp termination.
  3. Position the solid contact in the matching indent crimper and use the specified contact/wire setting. Inspect a sample before making a batch.
  4. Insert contacts straight through the rear seal until retained. Check retention gently, then seat the correctly oriented wedgelock. Fit the specified sealing plugs in unused cavities.
  5. Latch the mating housings, support the harness and verify continuity and pinout. A latch click or continuity reading does not prove crimp strength or sealing.

Follow the DT connector installation guide and the solid-versus-stamped tool guide.

Refill buying checklist

Record pin and socket part numbers separately, conductor gauge, insulation diameter and housing family. Do not copy a “0–24 A” catalog category into your circuit design: it is not a rating for this refill pack.

For a fit check, email sales@iwiss.com with the contact or lug part number, wire gauge, insulation diameter, mating connector and clear photos. For repeat workshop orders, also include quantities and your validated tool setting.

Wire preparation before crimping

FSA-0626 wire stripper lists 22–10 AWG and is a preparation option for compatible wire within that range. Its 0.6–2.6 mm marking is diameter, not mm² conductor area. Use the exact contact's strip length, verify a sample for strand damage and skip an extra stripper if suitable preparation tooling is already included or owned.

Compare connector families, wire ranges and tool choices.

Design standards & application compatibility

Check the exact model, connection type and applicable standard before ordering. A standard referenced in a product description is not, by itself, evidence of third-party certification. Ask us for model-specific documentation if your project requires it.

Design references are not third-party product certifications. Use the model specifications and the fitting or terminal manufacturer's instructions to confirm compatibility.

How manufacturing supports reliability

IWISS manufacturing capabilities include precision machining, heat treatment, assembly and quality inspection, with dimensional measurement and tensile-testing equipment. The inspection method and acceptance criteria depend on the tool and connection application.

Ask us about the specifications or supporting documentation for your model.

Connector and terminal selection

Identify the connector series, contact construction and wire size before choosing an assortment.

Before ordering

  • Match housing and contact part numbers; cavity count alone does not establish compatibility.
  • Check conductor size, insulation diameter, seals and the required crimping tool.
Does the piece count mean complete connector sets?

Not necessarily. Housings, contacts, seals and accessories may each count as individual pieces. Check the selected pack's contents before ordering.

What should I send for a fit check?

Send the product model, cable or pipe size, connector or fitting part number, and clear photos. Include the intended application so our team can help you identify the appropriate setup.
